Blend precision with spontaneity as we learn to combine hard and soft-ground etching techniques with monotype techniques such as stencils, additive/subtractive mark-making, and trace printing.

If you like the written word and making images, this class gives you a chance to combine the two. Learn how to design, set, and print type to create stationery, business cards and broadsheets, or your own project. This class will also introduce linoleum carving and pressure printing techniques.

Learn to register, carve, and print multiple woodblocks together. Explore different combinations of semi-transparent ink layers to create a set of color variant prints.

This class will be a collaborative class that utilizes prints inherent ability to create multiples. We will create 3 to 4 stunning print installations that will be on display during Lawrence Print Week. Using screen print, Relief, and riso students will explore texture, object making and how to think about space. We will move from the 2d to the 3d and 4d. All levels welcomed.
