Rachel Cross is a Kansas City based singer, actor, harpist, and musical director. She maintains a busy and varied voice/harp/ukulele studio, teaches music specials classes to 6 weeks to 6 year olds in a Montessori setting, gigs harp and performs on both the professional and amateur theater stages throughout the city. She enjoys the hustle involved in simultaneously teaching and performing at a professional caliber and relishes adding the Lawrence Arts Center onto her list of credits as musical director, teacher and performer! She thrives while combining her performing career with her teaching studio to create collaborative, creative, and eccentric spaces for her students to grow as humans and performers. Her most favorite credits to date have included the tour of Warner Bros. The Polar Express, the title role in Mary Poppins at the Drury Lane Chicago, Adele in Die Fleudermaus at the Chicago Light Opera, the Midwest tour of Gilbert and Sullivan's A Christmas Carol, and most recently the Midwest tour of Paw Patrol Live!
