Andy Waldron

SYT Instructor

Dr. Andy Waldron is an assistant professor in Theatre Education at California State University, Fresno. He has experience working as an educator, researcher, director, performer, and designer. Originally from Wisconsin, he’s been slowly making his way westward with stops in Minnesota for undergrad and teaching high school English, speech, and theatre; Arizona for graduate school, and in Kansas for the recent SYT production of Les Miserables. On an academic level, His research explores theatre education training and pedagogy, Theatre for Young Audiences, queer youth theatre, arts integration, and socially engaged arts practices. On a fun artsy level, he just finished building four awesome foam puppets for a central California touring production of The Bremen Town Musicians. He is definitely looking forward to working with everyone again on our brilliant production of Peter and the Starcatcher!
